LONG
Charles E. of Batavia, a long time educator in Clermont County, died January 19, 2007 at age 79. A native of Cleveland, 'Charlie' spent 30 years in education and administration for Clermont County Schools, starting as a teacher at Williamsburg High School and later as principal at Amelia Junior High School. A historian by education with an avid interest in the past, Charlie always had a book open to read about the history of varios events. Charlie loved to make people laugh and would strike-up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, but there would always be a reason and somthing to learn from a chance meeting with Charlie Long.
Charlie is survived by his wife Mary Wymer Long. He was preceeded in death by his long-time wife Twylia (nee Scott) Long, who was the mother of his four children; son Danny (Sheri) Long; daughter, Debi (Dennis) Hickox; son Jeffrey (Janet) Long; and daughter Nancy (Randy) Norton. Loved by Step Children, John (Carolyn) Wymer, Karen (Bill) Richey and Judy Mosley. Other survivors include his brother, Dan (Charla) Long, grandchildren; Brian Humphries, Danielle Fink, Denise Hickox, Erica Hickox, Justin Long, Emily Long, Sean Norton, Taylor Norton, John (Kelly) Wymer, Stacy (Ryan) Maines, Dan Puckett, Mathew Mosley and one great grandson; Carter Fink. Services will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 370 South Fifth Street, Williamsburg, Ohio, Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 22nd from 6 to 8 P.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. Ann Catholic Church.
