Willa D. (nee Mercer), age 74, beloved wife of Elster Varney Jr. for 57 years, loving mother of Pearl Varney (Judy King), Gary (Patty) Varney and Ena (Danny) Hickey, cherished grandmother of David (Michelle) Varney, Joe (Beth) Varney, Nikki (Brandon) Hyden, Sally Varney, D.J. Hickey and Billy Hickey, devoted great grandmother of Cole Hyden, Andrew Varney and Annabelle Varney, dear sister of Wayne (Cathy) Mercer. Thursday June 29, 2006. Services will be held at the Maham Funeral Home, 187 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Ohio, Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or Anderson Mercy Hospital - Floor A-2.

Chester, age 86, beloved husband of Lydia J. Jones (nee Kirk), loving father of Linda Simons, Nancy Meeker and Roseanna Peters, also survived by 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. BENNETT
Mary J. (nee Bowling), age 87, beloved wife of the late Ray Bennett, Loving mother of Darla Willhite, Ben and Dan Bennett, devoted sister of Thelma Webb, also survived by 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Maham Funeral Home, 187 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Ohio, Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 12:30 P.M. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Mary was a member of Eastern Star and the Batavia Church of Christ. Eastern Star services will be held at 12 noon prior to the service.

Evelyine M. (nee Bolton), age 80, beloved wife of the late Robert Jones Sr., loving mother of Diana Weaver, Mary Toles, Robert, Gary, Jim, Daniel, Wess, Melissa, Patty and Cindy Jones, also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Maham Funeral Home, 187 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Ohio, Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 10:00 A. M. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

WHITE
James C. died unexpectedly Saturday, January 28 as the sun was rising over his mountains in Tucson AZ. He is survived by his wife Melissa; his children Nancy Mueller, Steve, Connie and Jim Putnam, Jim Jr. and Putney and Tom, Nick and Jenny; his grandchildren Jonathan and Lindsay Mueller, Eric, Greg and Mark Putnam, James, Patricia, Christopher, Zachary, Erin and Claire; and his great grandson Hunter Mueller. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mildred, Pat. Jim was a Marine and served in combat durung World War II. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity in his memory. Their will be a celebration of his life Saturday, June 24, 2006 at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 330 Gay Street, Williamsburg, Ohio at 1:30 P.M. Internment will follow the service at Williamsburg Cemetery.
